In the afternoon of July 7th, 2015, Vice President Luis Alberto Magna from Unicamp paid a visit to SEIEEtogether with company manager Ana Wang from the Global University Department of Banco Santander. Prof. MaYixin, Mr. Luo Jincai and Ms Ma Jun, on behalf of SEIEE, hosted the guests and engaged an interaction on cooperation with the visitors.

Unicamp is a new public university which plays an important role in traditional enduation and scientific research. It ranks 11th in the QS ranking list of 2014. Vice President Magna, along with teachers and students from 24 Brazilian Universities, visited China under the Summer Program of “Top China," sponsored by Banco Santander with the purpose of promoting communication between China and South America.

This is the first meeting between SEIEE and Unicamp which also marked a new international partnership between the two.  At the meeting, Vice President Magna and Teacher Ma Yixin introduced both schools’ general information including their respective research fields, teachers,  students, and curriculum. After the presentations, both sides agreed that language will be the major block to achieving full cooperation, but both sides gaven the end both expressed the confidence in breaking down obstacles such as this one. In the end, the school representatives from Brazil hoped they can send graduate students to China and have classes in SEIEE.
