Last June 24, 2015, Secretary of SJTU Party Committee Jiang Sixian met with Gérard Collomb, Mayor of Lyon, France at the Xuhui Campus, SJTU, along with Deputy Chairman David Kimelfeld, in charge of Lyon’s Economy, Deputy Chairman Jean Paul Bret, in charge of colleges and universities, President Khaled Bouabdallah of the Université de Lyon(Union), Vice President Marie-Pierre Favre of INSA-Lyon and CEO Alain Merieux of the French Biotechnology Group Co., Ltd. On behalf of SJTU, Jiang Sixian signed a cooperation agreement with President KhaledBouabdallah of Université de Lyon(Union).

Mr.Collomb relayed that as Mayor of Lyon, he strongly supports the cooperation between Lyon and Shanghai schools, and also encouraged and welcomed students’ exchange and communication.

On the other hand, Dean Mao Junfa of SEIEE signed the agreement of dual-PhD program with INSA-Lyon. The two schools have successfully cooperated for nearly 10 years, during which several agreements have been signed including the holding of spring class, summer exchange programs and dual-master program.  This dual-doctoral agreement promotes further cooperation between the two schools and in turn offers a more dynamic platform for all teachers and students to participate in international exchange learning.
